Welcome to the Priestap Au Sable River Lodge, a spacious lodge with two adjoining cabins located just steps away from the banks of the famous Au Sable River.  The Priestap Lodge is a perfect location for a fly fishing trip, canoe adventure, hunting,  snowmobiling, or just sitting on the huge deck watching the river go by.

The main lodge has three bedrooms and a loft, as well as a sleeper sofa, and can sleep up to nine people.  It features a great room with stone fireplace and river views, and also includes a big-screen plasma television linked up to satellite. There is a fire pit for campfires, a basketball court, and a volleyball court. 

There are also two separate cabins to accommodate more people if you have a bigger group.  The smaller cabin sleeps three, and the larger cabin sleeps five and features a wood burning stove, small fridge, and television.

The lodge is fully furnished and equipped with all the kitchen implements you’ll need, including a propane grill.  If you have a small child we even have a Pack ‘n Play for your convenience.

Local activities are numerous.  The Au Sable is one of the most famous trout rivers in North America, and you can catch trophy size fish just a few yards away from the back door of the lodge.  Get all the dry flies, streamers, and fly fishing equipment you’ll need at our Mio fly shop, the Trophy Waters Fly Shop, where we’ll give you a discount if you’re a Priestap Lodge guest.  If you’d rather canoe, kayak, tube or raft down the river, we’ll give you a special guest rate at our large Mio canoe livery, Gotts'  Landing. 

The Priestap Lodge is also an ideal place to go hunting or snowmobiling – it’s surrounded by state and federal forest, and very close to hundreds of miles of forest trails.  Deer are plentiful, along with wild turkeys and pheasants.  If you’re lucky, you might even see a bear.

If you like golf, the Priestap Lodge is within a short drive of numerous highly rated golf courses, including the gorgeous Garland golf resort, which features four challenging, world class layouts, the local Cedar Valley golf course, and many, many others.  Northern Michigan has some of the finest golf courses in the United States.
